Give me your hand
Make room for me
to lead and follow
you
beyond this rage of poetry.
Let others have
the privacy of
touching words
and love of loss
of love.
For me
Give me your hand.
Maya Angelou
It is hard to exist on words. There is no substitute for touch for the warmth of anothers kiss, the feel of real flesh pressed to your own. You cannot bury your nose in the scent of words. You cannot rest your head in their pillow. They are just paint on the canvas of paper. Beautiful angry sad colourful words evoke emotion, but do not sustain it. Not like a smile or the simple touch of your hand.
I am an artist. I paint with words. But in the end they are just words that need a person to bring them to life.

It's a very profound point you're making there.

More importanly, which one produces the best results. Life is good but it ends much too soon. What we create we hope lives on forever. You see where MY heart lies, eh?
